It’s a rivalry that spans close to 5 decades. In fact, Ferruccio Lamborghini created his eponymous automobile brand back in 1963 because he thought he could create a better car than Enzo Ferrari. Mr. Lamborghini owned a few Ferrari vehicles himself but but he thought that the clutch and after-sales service were lacking. When he made his dissatisfaction known to Enzo, the latter dismissed him. Hell hath no fury like a proud Italian man is called and thus,the raging Bull icon was born. Today,both luxury car brands are icons in the motoring world and ignite a heady kind of desire rarely seen in other automobile companies. You don’t just drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini,you become one with it. So, I am going to break down my comparison to the vehicles these companies are producing currently.
Two different companies,two very different looks,both Ferrari and Lamborghini are responsible for building some of the most extreme,most breathtaking supercars on the planet.
Lamborghini Huracan Spyder Vs Ferrari 488 Spyder:
DESIGN: In Huracan,you have in-your-face styling,a typical and expected approach from the flamboyant Italian marque.

Ferrari on the other hand took the substance of preceding 458 and turn it into a more masculine aggressive design,the Lamborghini exceeds in design though.
PERFORMANCE: The Ferrari 488 got a twin-turbo V8 which is capable of pushing out 661 horsepower which means it will do a 0–60mpH in around 3.0 seconds. Ferrari 812 Superfast Vs Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster:
DESIGN: The Ferrari 812 is created in a new colour called Rosso Setanta. Put it through Google Translate and the algorithm translated it as “Red Seventy”. Lamborghini is blocky,angular and in your face unlike the soft,sensuous curves of the Ferrari. For some people Lamborghini can be too aggressive and masculine but it likes being at the centre of attention as after all the slogan of the Aventador S campaign is “Dare Your Ego”.
Ferrari 812 Superfast
PERFORMANCE: The 812 superfast is most probably,the most powerful Ferrari ever produced. It’s also the first Ferrari to sport the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. There’sa lot of Engineering techno-babel involved but essentially it makes driving the 812 superfast even easier for those who have never had the pleasure of commanding the prancing horse. There is a new naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine that’s being engineered to give you more torque at lower revs. This makes the 0-100 kph acceleration 2.9 seconds with a max speed of around 345 kph. The Aventador S comes with a naturally-aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine. What separates the Aventador S from the 812 superfast is its full carbon fibre monocoque frame,engine bonnet,movable rear spoilers and air inlets. Those that cannot be constructed in carbon fibre are made in aluminium instead which makes the Aventador S incredibly light. The most talked about feature of the Aventador S is EGO Driving mode. These are the typical strada (daily use), sport and corsa (track) driving modes but the new EGO mode lets you change the traction,steering and suspension to whatever you fancy. It covers 0–100 kph acceleration in 2.9 seconds with and max speed of around 350 kph.
Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster
PRICE: Lamborghini upgraded the V12 Aventador with a new,more powerful S model. The price for this 217-mpH,high-revving Italian beast? A cool USD $ 424,845. The base price for Ferrari 812 Superfast is USD $335,275 and it could go higher upto USD $500,000.

Lamborghini Centenario Roadster Vs Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta:
DESIGN: The Centenario Roadster embodies a new design direction for Lamborghini accentuated by clean surfaces as “form follows function” true to Lamborghini’s core design DNA. Centenario’s silhouette features low overhangs in the front and rear creating a clean,sensuous mono-body shape. It has the signature matte look on the exterior giving it a silky and rich finish.

PERFORMANCE: The Aperta retains the LaFerrari’s hybrid powertrain comprising an 800 CV, 62 CC V12 (specific power output 128 CV/l ,compression ratio 13:5:1 coupled with a 120 KW electric motor for a total power output of 963 CV. It has a V12 engine which takes down 0–100 kmH in less than 3 seconds with max speed of around 350 kmH.
Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
In Centenario,the highly responsive V12 engine delivers 770 HP (566 KW) with a maximum engine revs increased from 8.350 to 8.600 RPM. Accelerating 0–100 kph in just 2.9 seconds with max speed of around 350 km per hour (same as LaFerrari). The Centenario Roadster adopts Lamborghini’s new rear wheel steering.
PRICE: Only 20 Roadster versions of Centenario will be produced and unfortunately all of them have been sold out at USD $1,900,000. The LaFerrari Aperta is the 42nd most expensive car sold at an auction at an original price of USD $9,982,000.

CONCLUSION: Italians are masters when it comes to creating luxury sports cars,cars more than simple vehicles. They trigger emotions and are a sign of status. Most of us can only dream to drive (not to say own) any of these cars. But in my honest opinion,I think the Raging Bull is slightly better than the Prancing Horse. It’s a matter of personal preference and I found one car is much better than the other. So,for me it’s Lamborghini.
